The sport of Reining is relatively new to the FEI and in the World Equestrian Games. The 2014 games in Normandy is only the fourth time that Reining has been included in the competition. Since 2002 Reining has become a popular event to watch and has helped introduce the western style of riding to many riders. The United States has dominated Reining in the past three World Equestrian Games, bringing the gold home for the Team Competition each year.
