In this horse training video Warwick Schiller discusses horses bucking. The primary focus is horses bucking when being started undersaddle, but he also discusses bucking for any other circumstance. He talks about the reasons for horses bucking which include worry/ apprehension or belligerence. He prefers to address many of these issues before they start through groundwork by creating a balanced horse who responds to things they are supposed to and not to the things they aren’t. He then walks us through the progression leading up to getting on a young horse for the first time.
This horse training video is applicable to riders of all disciplines but is of particular interest to riders who start horses undersaddle or are dealing with issues relating to horse bucking.
