Judge Blocks Planned Horse Slaughter at 2 Plants

On Friday a Federal Judge temporarily stopped plans to start slaughtering horses at two different plants. The companies planned to start their operation next week. “The move stops what would have been the resumption of horse slaughter for the first time in seven years in the U.S.”
